Youth Resources

Police Athletic League (PAL) Program

Each summer, the APD Communities Service Division conducts four weeklong camps for youth identified as “at risk,” focusing specifically on individuals entering the 8th or 9th grade, aged between 12 and 14 years. These camps are designed to foster character development, leadership, trust, and responsibility through an array of structured activities. Participants are also provided with information regarding the Hometown Recruiting Program and are encouraged to explore career opportunities within law enforcement.

The PAL program serves to deter juvenile delinquency in Arlington, enhance youths’ understanding of the role of police within the community, facilitate engagement between young people and law enforcement in a nonenforcement setting, and present opportunities to positively influence participants’ lives.

All camp expenses are financially supported by the Arlington Police Foundation.
